Taking Payments
An e-commerce website needs to be able to process orders on-line and take payments via a secure payment system.
There are normally three major components in this process, firstly you need a shopping cart system that your customers can use when browsing your on-line shop. Secondly, a credit card merchant ID, normally supplied by your bank and thirdly a "payment service provider" (PSP) such as SagePay.
